Nature and gesture, towards lyrical abstraction

After a few years in figurative art, it was in 1952 that Jean Degottex’s style asserts itself. During stays in Beauce and then Brittany, he moves away from the figurative representation of nature to retain mainly movement and energy. This only moves him towards the movement of lyrical abstraction.
