group exhibition 2 march - 21 november 2021 Calder, Soulages, Vasarely… Plural Abstractions (1950-1980)

The exhibition Calder, Soulages, Vasarely… Plural Abstractions (1950-1980) takes place at the Musée d’art de Pully from March 2 to November 21, 2021.

Composed of works from the Gandur Foundation for Art, it offers a visit through the production of the years 1950 to 1980, from both sides of the Atlantic.

Focusing on the multiple forms that abstraction took during this period, it shows the main trends: lyrical and gestural abstraction, abstract expressionism, geometric abstraction and minimal painting, as well as works from the Supports/Surfaces movement, which challenged traditional pictorial means.

You can see the triptych Horsphère 30 by Jean Degottex exhibited in the section entitled Minimal Abstraction.
